  1. BIGLIFE is BigLife v.1.00 by Owen Rees (dated 1993).  This GEM based
  2. program is the most interesting and full-featured adaptation of "Life"
  3. that I have seen.  It's not the Milton Bradley game of LIFE which I'm
  4. writing about here, but the computer program which tracks "generations"
  5. of "cells" as they live and die on your computer screen as based on a
  6. simple set of rules.  This version allows you to create, save, and load
  7. your own patterns, load patterns from a sampling included with the
  8. program, and even load XLife format files from X-Windows.  The patterns
  9. included with this are fantastic!  Rocketships, shooting guns, gliders,
  10. and more are all included!  The docs make for fascinating reading, too.
  11. I recommend this program to you!  ST-TT compatible in ST resolutions.
